Wellness Exams

Annual wellness exams allow us to identify illness and discuss preventative care.

Surgery

We perform a variety of soft tissue and orthopedic procedures.

Digital Radiography

State of the art digital radiography allows for same day imaging. Radiologist review is available for an additional fee.

Vaccinations

Core and non-core vaccines are available and are given based on a risk assessment. We offer a walk-in rabies vaccination clinic M-F 2-3pm.

Dental Care

Anesthetic dental cleanings and extractions may be scheduled after a thorough exam by one of our doctors.

Ultrasonography

We perform cardiac and abdominal ultrasounds in hospital. Images are sent for review by board-certified internal medicine specialists.

Microchipping

Microchips allow for lost loved ones to be quickly reunited. If you're interested in a microchip, please let us know!

Behavior Consultations

Dr. Allen offers consultations to help identify and modify unwanted behaviors.

Laser Therapy

We perform laser therapy to alleviate pain, speed healing, and decrease inflammation

Payment Policy

In order to avoid any miscommunication, please ask for an estimate from the doctor or technician BEFORE services are provided. Payment is expected at the time of service. For your convenience, we accept cash, check, Care Credit, and all major credit cards.

In Case of Emergency

Depending on our schedule, Battenkill Veterinary may provide emergency care for our established clients during regular business hours. If your pet needs emergency care, please call ahead, so we can determine the nature of the condition and prepare for your pet’s arrival. Upon arrival, emergencies will be assessed immediately by a licensed veterinary professional.

After hours and critical emergencies will be referred to Capital District Veterinary Referral Hospital, Upstate Veterinary Specialties, or Northway Veterinary Hospital. Please note that Northway is NOT open 24/7 at this time. NVH operates as an urgent care on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 8am-8pm. Please refer to their website for the most up to date schedule.
